How many dismantlers / breakers will see my request?
We have a network of around 150 of the best spare parts suppliers, breakers and dismantlers across the country.
How long will my request for spare parts / used parts stay on your system?
Your spare parts / used parts request will be on our system for one working day. If you hear nothing within that day please contact us again and we will re-submit your request for spare parts / used parts. Our breakers, spare parts and used parts suppliers are constantly receiving new stock so your part will more than likely become available.
How will I receive quotes from breakers ?
Our members will contact you by telephone or by email.
When will I get quotes from breakers ?
Our members will start contacting you within minutes of submitting your request. You will probably receive more than one quote from our network of breakers, spare parts and used parts suppliers so don't necessarily accept the first quote you receive.
Am I obliged to purchase if I make a request ?
No. You're under no obligation whatsoever. It is totally your decision if you decide to purchase goods from a member of our network of breakers breakers, spare parts and used parts suppliers and who you purchase them from.
How much will the parts from breakers cost ?
You can expect to make substantial savings on spare parts / used parts from our network of breakers, spare parts and used parts suppliers when compared to buying new. In many cases expect to save between 50-80% when comparing the price spare parts or used parts to the price of new parts.
What guarantee / warrantee will I get ?
All spare parts, used parts suppliers and breakers registered with Find-A-Part must give a minimum 30 day guarantee on all used parts they sell, however many used parts / spare parts suppliers and breakers will offer longer guarantees. Please discuss this with the suppliers when they contact you.
What success rate does Find-A-Part have in locating spares?
It is impossible to accurately state how many times our network of used parts / spare parts suppliers and breakers find car spares for customers, but indications suggest that used parts or spare parts are found for requests between 85% and 95% of the time.
How do I pay for my parts?
Our used parts, spare parts suppliers and breakers accept all major credit/debit cards. Although most breakers will accept cheques, this will normally result in a delay in you getting your spares. We advise against anybody paying by cash.
When will I receive my used parts or spare parts?
Most used parts, spare parts suppliers and breakers will be able to offer 24 hour delivery, however this should be discussed with the used parts, spare parts suppliers or breakers at point of sale.
What happens if the part/s I receive are wrong or damaged?
In the unlikely event of a problem arising you should, in the first instance, contact the used parts / spare parts supplier or breaker directly. We operate a customer services department which is available to any customer who has placed a request via our call centre.
If you placed your request via our free to use website you will have seen the Terms and Conditions that state you will not be entitled to help from our customer service dept. Instead we recommend contacting your bank/credit card company and seek their assistance.
